I bought an OEM Ford kit from ebay. Everything installed as per the directions. The cruise will not work so I brought it to a Ford dealership, they say that the computer has to be programmed, they have it for the afternoon and call and say the the trucks computer is not made to accept cruise control and would not be cost effective to buy a new computer to make it work. Everything is wired right per Ford, it just will not program because the computer in my truck will not accept cruise control. The kit was new and unopened in a Ford box and included the steering wheel and everything. Is there any way I can hard wire this into the system to make it work? I do not want to get a used computer and install it because then the keys will not work and the mileage will be different. ANy suggestions would be greatly appreciated. 2003 f150 SWB XL 5spd 4.2l v6.
