Exclamation Just some problems I need help with.

Hows it going everybody, and thanks for looking! I have A 98 Navigator/4wd with 49k on it and im trying to fix it so I can sell it. Heres a run down of the problems.

1. The front driver abs speed sensor. How hard to fix?

2. I just noticed a small quarter-sized stain under the truck. It looks like red fluid. Im guessing trans fluid. Is there problem areas for trans leaking? I know, not electrical

3. The drivers door. The unlock/lock button doesnt work all the time. Is it just the switch?

4. There is a humming noise coming from this box thats next to the abs module on the driver side under the hood. It seems to have a cable that runs to the throttle body. It only hums when idling. What is this box thingy?

Thats it for now, other than these problems its perfect. I'd like to sell it in great shape if I can. Any help is greatly appreciated. God Bless

1. Is the Abs light on? Whats wrong with sensor? They are behind the backing plate and may require hub removal.
2. The trans front main seal is just beginning to leak. Try two bottles of seal additive and about 200 miles drive will take care of that.
3. Door lock actuator or switch.
4. Id the system that has the fault, then the fix.

Thanks for looking and responding! As far as the abs, its been getting weird. It pulsates like crazy whenever I am coming to a stop, but it was onlyhappening a few times. I took everything apart and everything was ok, so I bleed the brakes for good measure. Well I noticed this sensor was loose so I just tried to take it out so I can clean it and tighten it down, well I couldnt get it out so I just put it back together and it made it worse. Instead of it doing it a few times, it did it all the time so I just took the abs fuse out and it stops fine.

Yow, man why didn't you say that early on?
The sensor must be within a clearence range to the ring.
It sends a signal to the the control module full time and expects to see it's signal to compair wheel speeds with the others.
If it's missing, the module logic assumes an ABS action is to be applied.
The pedal kick back is a normal reaction to keep you from over applying pedal pressure and over riding the ABS action.
The ABS action is faster than the driver, in reaction time.

Yeah I know its bad for the truck not to have its abs functioning. But If I put the fuse back in, it doesnt want to stop at slow speeds. I almost ran into another car, so I just pulled out the fuse for the time being. Thanks for the great info, I really appreciate it.
