Hello everybody,

I have a very strange electrical problem with my truck that I was wondering if anyone could help me diagnose the cause and how I can fix it.

Sometimes my radio works and sometimes it doesn't. Some days I turn my truck on and it works and others it doesn't. When driving it will all of a suddenly stop working or it may even start working if it wasn't previously. At night time when the radio is not ****ioning I can still see the ***** on the radio faintly lit. When the radio does work, all my presets are still the same as well.

In addition to the radio not working I have also noticed that when the radio is not working the light in my glove box does not work and my dome light does not work while the truck is on. If I turn my truck off and open the door the dome light will come on irregardless of whether or not the radio is working. When the radio works all of my lights work fine.

If anyone can provide any insight it would be a great help. Thank you.

could be a bad ground somewhere. get a haynes manual and it can show you how to start diagnose the problem.

 

Have you noticed if the blower stays running when turning the truck off when this happens ?

Have you noticed this happens after a rain ?
