Alarm System
Alarm System
HELLO MY NAME BILL I HAVE A 1999 FORD F-150 & I WANT TO INSTALL A VIPER MODEL 5000 ALARM SYSTEM IN IT. I REALLY COULD USE SOME HELP WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS ON INSTALLING IT. I BOUGHT IT ON E-BAY & I GOT EVERYTHING BUT THE INSTRUCTIONS TO INSTALL IT. IS THERE A WEB SITE WERE I CAN GET THE INSTRUCTIONS TO INSTALL IT, OR SHOULD I TAKE IT TO A SHOP THAT INSTALLS THEM. THANKS ALOT ON ANY HELP IN THIS. BILL
You can go to http://www.directed.com/ and request the instructions. I would pay someone if I were you unless you are really good with electrionics. DEI does warrantys there products for lifetime if done at an authorized dealer/installer. I've heard vipers are a little more diffecult to install than some others. I've had three so far and there the only brand I'll buy. Currently I have the 791vx in my truck.

That's not a blind spot. That's part of the bumper in each corner. It's the well in the bumper around the tag. It comes with three different size shims I used two of them to get more down angle. You don't have to use any for a stright view. It doesnt show the bumper with out the shims. I got the camera to help hook up to my boat trailer and I found this to be the best angle for my needs. If I was to look at any other camera it would have night vision. This show in low light but not in no light. This is a good camera and I'm happy weith it, there are better ones but cost a lot more.
