Flashers/Signals and Brake lights stopped.

The other day the lower brake lights, flashers and signals all stopped working. I checked the fuse but that was fine. I have heard that if the 3rd brake light works as mine does, that this is the multiposition swith. Is that true??

Also, I cannot find that darn flasher relay for anything. The books say under the instrument cluster and to the right of the column. I dont see it. do they mean behind the cluster? I have looked for nearly an hour and dont see it anywhere.

If anyone can help me with this it would be great. Thanks guys.

yep, probably the indicator switch. Do a search, there's lots of threads on it.
Do the hazard warning lights still work? If so, you might be able to hear the flasher relay that way.

The flasher relay is up underneath the dash to the right of the steering column inside of a black box. If you lay on your floorboard and look up, you can see it fairly easily with some additional light. On mine the harness leading to the data port was hooked to the same bracket, if that helps.
