Help with removing driver's side door molding

Hello,
Another noob' here! I have just purchased a 01 Supercrew and need some advice on how to remove the driver's side door panel (without pulling too hard and breaking something:confused: ).
All of my courtesy lights work properly except for the driver's side, and my keyless entry system doesn't work either. I have the 5 digit code found under the dash to unlock the truck, but so far have had no luck. I see the interior lights come on when trying to unlock the truck, but doesn't open. I've checked fuses and all are OK.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated! I just don't want to bust something on the truck after removing the 2 phillips screws on the bottom and pull too hard.
Thanks!

Here you go ( right click -> Save link as )

This is the directions for the signal mirror install, which requires the door panel removal. I used these to install the signal mirrors the first on my '01, and then the second time to install my key pad.

For a quick test on the keypad, if you press any key you get the keypad to light up ?
Test each key for light activation, i.e. press the 1-2 key, check for keypad light. Let the keypad light go out, then press the 3-4 key, check for light, etc, until all 5 keys are tested.

Next step, press the 7-8 and 9-0 keys at the same time, do the doors lock ?

You could have a problem with the key pad itself, but check these 2 first, before going to the dealer ( local on online ) and ordering parts.

There are some pics in my gallery on the '01 keypad install, which show how to work in the SCrew door, which is different then the Std / SCab doors ( bit more blocked with sheet metal ).
