1999 f150 still won't start

Need help. My ford has had the theft light blinking for quite a while. Sometimes I could put the key in and start it right up, others I'd have to turn the key and wait to see if the anti-theft was activated or not. Have taken it to the ford dealership and had the PATS transceiver and instrument cluster replaced. This morning I get in it and same problem again. Theft light will blink once, break, then blink since times in a row. Repeats sequence again. The odometer has a sequence of dashes. I would like to know what the code means and what needs to be fixed so I can resolve this problem. The truck does not have remote entry/theft on it.

Thank you

shani

Let me clarify the blinking sequence. It is blinks once, break, then blinks six times in a row. repeating sequence.

Are you still having this problem?

I had a problem leaving the store today. I was wondering what you had to do to fix the problem.

May or may not help.

I was reading the instructions for installing the Max Micro Tuner. After installation, if PATS light was acting strange, it said to disconnect the negative battery cable and leave disconnected for at least 15 minutes.

Like I said, don't know, but it may be worth a try. Let us know how it goes!
