Angry 2003 electrical fire

2003 F150 with 70k with electrical fire which started in the ACU and spread throughout wiring harness, etc. Insurance company says "fix it" . Seems like we've been there done that with our 1988 F150 which was prone to these types of fires also. Anyone else had this problem? Thanks.

Remind me what the ACU is....something for me to look out for if this is a 2003 model year issue.

2003 electrical fire

Sorry, initial typo error. The fire started in the ECU -electrical control unit and involved the ABS module & spread through the wiring harness.

Follow Up: Well the Ford dealership says the fire started in either the ECU or the HCU, but couldn't tell which. The insurance adjustor of course knew it started in the ECU because that part isn't covered in our policy!
Well after $1,820.18 for Kit-Brk Anti/L, Brk-Anti Lk AS,
Wir Asy-Eng. CO, Brake Fluid Etc. the truck was "ready to go".
Drove approximately 60 miles and the ABS light came on & stayed on!!!! Will post more follow ups as the saga with this F150 continues.
