Can you give more detail on this? When the contacts close on the relay it simply connects the 2 ends together, battery one 1 side, starter on the other. does it crank over or what? The relay itself is case grounded. Sounds as though you have the relay hooked to ground instead of batt +.

cranks but no spark....

well since last post all prior is ok....but now I'm having no spark from ingnition coil to distributor. I installed a super coil(ACCEL) last year along with split fires, and brower racing wires, all that worked fine. no I am getting nothing at all from coil. was told might be my pick-up coil inside distibutor or the engine control relay. problem is I can't test the pick-up coil and I can't find the engine control relay. was told it was either on my distributor or firewall\fenderwell.....but no luck either place.
Anyone with a miracle cure in their pocket please help!!
