Can you disable the alarm horn 'chirp'?
#4
**TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK**
I have found the wire that comes from the central security module that controls the horn input to the horn relay.
It is Connector 274a ; Pin 1 , the wire is Dark Blue.
To verify that you have the right wire, stick a test light on it to verify voltage or ground.
(The reason I say ground is because there is a possibility that the Dark Blue wire could be a ground to the horn relay.)
You can verify a ground by placing your ground cable on a test light to the positive battery lead or any other voltage source. Then take the probe on the test light and probe the Dark Blue wire.
Either way, Probe for voltage &/or Ground while using the transmitter to lock the doors twice and observe the test light when you hear the chirp. If it lights up, being ground or voltage, then you can clip this wire.
**However**
Your panic button (horn) will probably not work if the wire is cut.
This is the only way that I see you can possibly disable the "CHIRP"
But I have not tested it, so I don't know if it will work or cause other issues to arise.
Anyhow, just trying to help!
Good Luck with whatever you choose!!!
