REALLY stupid question

Got a really dumb question, but here goes..
I have a 97 F150 ext cab. Should the cargo light go on when I open the doors? I just bought the truck and it seems weird that it does that, as my 95 Ranger does not. Did someone do some hokey wiring or it supposed to be that way?

Next maybe we can trouble shoot my a/c blend door actuator issues

not the interior light, I'm asking about the cargo light. In other words, the light above the back window on the outside of the truck.

Before you ask, no you can't turn it off (there isn't a switch). So if you don't like it you have to remove the bulb.

Why Ford gave me a foglight switch for foglights I don't have, but didn't install a cargo lamp switch for a cargo lamp that I do is beyond me.

Thanks,
Nah, wasnt going to ask how to disable it, and I researched the EVTM which appeared to make it look like it should come on but it still seemed odd.
This thing has some wiring goonies and wasnt sure if this was one of them.
