Whats This Eec For??
Hi Labman,
Any Ford dealer can tell you that info from the part number on the PCM's sticker.
It can also be identified by it's catch code, but you'd have to know what code went with what vehicle, so your best bet is to simply get the info from your local Ford parts counter.
If you want to find the catch code, it's on the big sticker on top of the PCM, a few lines down, printed in bold capitals so it stands out a bit, though it may be faded. The format is usually 3 letters followed by 1 number for most FoMoCo's over the past decade, like IMP4, DCA1, etc. Then there are a few in a format like T4M0, C3P2, etc., and then in old EEC's you can find some 3-digit and even a few 2-digit catch codes. The odds are yours will most likely be the more common normal 3 letters followed by 1 number.
Good luck!
