Great, glad you're enjoying it!

On the tire size change, the more accurate you are when you input the height figure, the more accurate the speedomter will be, basically.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to actually measure that tire height on the vehicle and double-check the manufacturers' P-metric sizing accuracy.

Have fun!

YOU KNOW I WENT AND LOOKED AND MEASURED MY TIRE ITS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO A 35" ITS LIKE A 34 1/4 ,, THATS ON A LEVEL SURFACE TOO... SO NOW TO CHANGE THE PARAMETER mIKE I NEED TO INSTALL MY STOCK PROGRAM, THEN RE-INSTALL MY SUPERCHIP PROGRAM AGAIN , OR CAN YOU JUST CHANGE THE TIRE HEIGHT? WILL THE TIRE CHANGE AFFECT MY SHIFTING TOO OR JUST MY SPEEDO AND MY ODOMETER??

THANKS IN ADVANCE
YOUR DA MAN!!!!

Mike,
I just wanted you to know that I've received my Micro Tuner, coils, plugs and wires a couple of days ago. Spent a good 3-4 hours replacing the plugs, wires and coils yesterday. Man what a pain to change the plugs in my 4.6L. I'm waiting for the rain to stop this afternoon to finish off tuning my truck with the micro tuner. Just a question for you and whoever else would like to chime in. If I ever decide to put the stock program back in my truck, can i still use the same micro tuner to program another ford truck? I know this is probably an enormously stupid question, but I just had to ask. Also, will be contacting you for an electric fan kit in the near future. Thanks in advance.

Terry

Hi FTID,

That's a good question, actually, as the answer varies, and I'll explain......................

When you've already uploaded the performance program from the Micro Tuner into the truck (as in your case), and you plug the unit back in to do an edit like that, if the display on the Micro Tuner says "Press A to modify options," then yes, you can go right into the options menu & make any changes you want among those allowed, like to your tire size, for example.

However, if it says "Go back to stock," when you plug it back in again, then you'll have to go back to stock and then reprogram the vehicle going thru the options menu just like you did before.

This varies depending on computer code, actually, and so there's really no way to predict that reliably. The reality is, you may or may not be able to do that, it varies from one computer code to the next how it "behanves," for lack of a better term. This is not a variance in the Micro Tuner itself, according to engineering, it's a variance from one computer code to the next. And of course, there are way over 1000 different V-8 F-150 powertrain programs (computer codes) in all the various 1997 & up V-8 F-150's, so differetn vehicles will handle that differently, some will need to go back to stock first and some can go right in & edit.

The Micro Tuner will automatically determine that and let you know by virtue of whether or not the menu display says "Press A to modify options" or not, basically.

Glad to see you physcially measured the tires, as many of those bigger tires are shorter than claimed by the manufacturer.

Good luck!
