Smogg testing

This is a question for mike..I have the super chip and love it.
Best mod I have on my truck. My questions is. The state of Georgia is fixing to start a newer version of their smogg testing. They will hook into the autos computer to see how clean
the system is. Should I take the chip out before I have this done?
We have to have this done each year in Georgia to get out tags.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Bobby!

You shouldn't have anything to worry about in that regard. As long as your vehicle will pass emissions without the Superchip, it will pass emissions testing with the Superchip installed.

You should not have to remove your Superchip for any kind of emissions inspection, as it is a CARB-certified part, which means it is officially certified as being fully compliant with all emissions standards for the model year & type of vehicle it was programmed for.

The CARB & EPA emissions certification is included with every new Superchip (some highly customized programs excepted), on the white card with the small green logo. There is also a very small silver sticker with the CARB Exemption Order number for it's CARB & EPA 50-state emissions certification printed on it, in case anyone wants to put it right on their Superchip.

You should be fine as long as your vehicle is in good shape, the Superchip isn't going to cause an emissions issue.
