Question superchip with nitrous

I have a question about nitrous it's compatibility with a superchip. I have heard that the chip needed to be removed. Can the chip be progammed to adjust for the nitrous?

Hi blewis,

Yes, we can make a Superchip program for use with nitrous, but you'll need the 2-program Superchip Flip Chip, not a single program chip. You will need a custom program for use only when you spray the nitrous, and then the other program for the rest of the time when you're not spraying. With the Flip Chip you'll have that capability at the flip of it's toggle switch.

We do not recommend taking chances using "dry" nitrous on the factory program, there isn't enough fuel in the program, and not enough injector capacity in these F-150's, they only have 19# injectors, as well as timing issues.

If your nitrous kit is a true "wet" kit, meaning one that augments fuel delivery to supply the additional fuel that will be needed to prevent going terminally lean and melting pistons, then yes, you could use it on the factory program as long as you use a small shot, the pistons in these motors won't take much nitrous before the ring lands are damaged, etc.

For details, give us a call at our number below & we'll be happy to go over this with you.
