Question MikeF150

I am having a hard time understanding the "LIP" issue, on the mounting bracket, on the installation of the Superchip. If you would, could I get a bit more info from you???? Thanks.

Hi Scotterock,

MikeF150's response was right on the money. To give you a rough idea, very few of these trucks have that, many 1 in 5 or so at most, roughly. It's funny, sometimes we'll go months without anyone running into that, and then we'll see a few in a row, that's how it is with long-term odds I suppose.

What the specific issues is, is if that "lip" is there, then it will sometimes end up in between the Superchip and the computer, and if that happens, over a long period of time, you could have a no-start issue from that interference. So it's easiest to just go ahead and take care of it while you're doing the installation, and that way it can't ever be an issue in the future. We go over this in our documentation.
