Hi Wire,

You'll have to forgive me, as I'm not sure I understand what you're asking.................

You seem to be asking if you should also install underdrive pulleys along with the Superchip, if I understand you correctly. The answer is, well, that is really up to you and exactly what you're looking for. Sure, we'd love to sell you a set, of course!

To give you some information about the underdrive pulleys, yes, the underdrive pulleys will give you about 12 more horsepower to the real wheels (15 to the flywheel), and yes, they do help your fuel mileage a bit, as you're turning the accessories slower and thus using less engine power, so you burn a little bit less fuel.

Your shift points won't be changed from underdrive pulleys. Only your full-throttle shift points will be changed with the Superchip.

You also need to, if you haven't already, correct your speedometer for those big tires by changing the reduction gear (also called the speedometer gear) in the tailshaft of the transmission, that is what is needed to restore your speedo accuracy & correct shift points.

I hope that gives you the info you were actually looking for, & please feel free to give us a quick call if you'd like to go over this.

Good luck with your truck!
