Hi LilBuddy,

With the Superchip, the top speed limiter is generally removed, so you don't have a top speed limiter anymore.

Most of the 4.2 V-6 F-150's have top speed limiters from the factory ranging from 95-98 mph, with a few above 100 mph, but not many. The Superchip removes that top speed limiter on the vast majority of these vehicles, whether they're 4.2 V-6's or the 4.6 or 5.4 V-8's.

Now, with regards to just how fast will a 4.2 V-6 F-150 go when the top speed limiter is removed, that depends on it's configuration, meaning, how heavy the F-150 is (setting aside ride height differences for the moment). In a light 2WD short cab manual transmission V-6 truck, they can do as much as 120-125 mph with just the Superchip. Or, with a SuperCab Lariat with 4WD, it might be lucky to hit 115 mph at that kind of weight, it just depends on the exact configuration of the particular F-150.

There are some non-Lightning F-150's on this board hitting upwards of 140 mph! Neal the HP Freak gets 137 mph from his 5.4 F-150, but of course, he has a number of modifications, and he's also running mid-14's in the 1/4 mile.
