Edge CTS 2 Canned Tunes
 

I did a search for
Edge cts2 and cts2 but only got one thread. I browsed several pages and then decided I'm just going to make a new thread.

I have a 2014 f150 super cab with a 5.0. Only has 4K on the odometer. I decided to go with the edge product again because that's what I had in my previous truck. I had good luck with it and customer service has always been great.

I went with the CTS2. I learned that on
Level 1: 25hp & 28 flbs of torque.
Level 3: 25hp & 25 flbs of torque.

From what I gather level 1 is the most powerful tune and I'm guessing that this can be done on 87 octane. If this is so, what purpose does level 3 have at more expensive fuel?

peak numbers or numbers under the curve?

I'm not sure about the curves or peak numbers. From edge support I was told that level 1 & 3 give adds 25 more hp, while the torque is 28 for level one and 25 for level three.

I went with the CTS2 and am really happy with it. Seems like I wound up with more than 25 extra hp. I had to set it back to stock to take it in for an oil change and when I set it back to level 3 it seems to run even better now. The transmission shifts harder and the back tire spins going to 2nd now. Only thing I don't like is the dash pod slips down.

Okay guys, its not quite been a year now and there are some things I dont like about this tuner. The 06 truck I had, worked well with edge products. It doesn't seem like the CTS2 has all of the bugs out of the programming for the 5.0. Who else here has the 5.0 with the edge programmer? Any issues?
