Edge Evolution CS?

Im researching a programer for my truck. Ive heard good thing from friens that have used Edge products in the past.

Im running a 08 XLT 4x4 super crew with the 5.4l flex fuel. Im running a flow master 40/40 exhaust and im planing on doing the programmer and cold air intake at the same time. Im looking at going with a Volant air kit.

any pros or cons or any input would be apprieciated.

Pick one ;-)

The edge, SCT, and diablo tuners seem to be the best. I run the diablosport inTune on my 2012 and I had the diablosport predator on my 2007 5.4. Both applications really woke the truck up and both are capable of receiving custom tunes. I wouldn't waste a single dime on a CAI as I have yet to see real world proof that these systems outflow the factory setup in such a manner that there is a significant increase in power for the money spent. Additionally you may want to search through the forums and read about some of the minor annoyances with buzzing, whistling, and droning that people report with the CAI applications. Regardless I hope you enjoy the upgrades, the tuner will make you feel like you are driving a different vehicle. Good luck sir!

Don't get the edge cs.....it can't be customed tuned anymore by PHP for the intake/headers

If you find an edge evolution PHP can still custom tune those....

Stick with a sct device from mike@5startuning or go diablo

As for the CAI. I got one for my 2008 5.4 and I also had some mixed feelings about it. You can hear your motor alot more than with the factory intake, including the rush of air entering. If you like to hear your motor a little more and clean up the engine bay a little, go with the CAI. If you want it to be quiet and keep everything looking factory, dont do it.

I have the Spectre intake I picked up for $150 at Pepboys and saved more with my military discount.

Hope that piece helps
