Edge Evolution? code P1000

I had recently purchased an edge evolution for my '05 FX4 about 2 months ago from another person and it has been working fine. I like the ability to display the codes and it seems to be helping me better gas mileage. I have a few questions to pose though.
1) after having it in for about 3 months i started having tranny issues and blew my tranny the other weekend and i was wandering how likely it was that the programmer could have been the cause
2) after talking to a few friends about this issue they said they would take the programmer back out especially since the truck had only 80k miles and they said they know of people who have had their tranny fixed and blew it a second time a couple 1000 miles later and those trucks had the same programmer in as mine

Just looking to see suggestions and what you guys think whether it may have been a possible tuning error or just normal wear and tear.

If you bought the programmer from another person they probably had the programmer made for their truck which could have caused the problem. In less you had the exact same truck as whom you bought it from then your truck shouldn't have performed like it was ment to do.

Does this stand true even if I reset the evo settings, it read my hex file correctly, and only ran it on the one of the three preloaded levels. After the incident i recently had had got the code P1000 and it said "on board diagnostic (OBD) systems, readiness test not complete".... even after i clear the codes this code is still there.

The P1000 won't clear till all monitored sensors pass a readiness test. This can take a while.

You have to STOP clearing it and let the drive cycles complete.

When I programmed back to stock it took well over 100 miles to clear. I'm done with the gryphon there are too many glitches. I'll take the poor mpgs again until I save for a dunno tune. There's no customer service and I have read a few issues with the trannys being taken out. Stock runs better just slower and less power.

Ok thanks, ill let it go for awhile then, i just would never have thought that it could take up to 100 miles to complete the test.

now you said you had it set on the 1st preloaded level if I read it correctly. More than likely, that was the tranny tune and that could of caused your transmission to go out IF that was the 1st preloaded tune you were running.

yes but i meant i used only the preloaded tunes i did not make or use any custom tunes and i switched back and fourth between level 1 and 2 and when the tranny went i was running on level 2 for towing.
