With an intake, I would get a custom tune. Edge products are written for stock intakes.

I wonder how much effect an intake has if the engine has a blower? I can't think it would do much of anything (except make your wallet lighter).

Give http://www.livernoismotorsports.com/ a call, looks like they have the eco dialed in. Lots of info on here already re: eco/livernois. Some very happy campers. 5star has some impressive tuning coming out for ecoboost, some serious real world tuning in progress as I type, you can see them on their site or on facebook. I personally have not read any bad reviews of livernois.

I tried the edge cs on my '12 ecoboost and it did some crazy things...seemed to lose power and the CEL came on with a code - something about underboost, the instant mpg reading on the CS reads constantly at 99 mpg and the truck's speedometer wouldn't register over about 25 mph, even at hwy speeds. I'd say they have some bugs to work out. I got the same response from Edge, that they are working on the issues. Would have been nice if they'd worked out the issues before releasing the update.

Sounds like ( more) BS to me.

I'll reiterate what I've already stated - several times ...

NEVER, EVER, run a canned tune on a Boosted truck - especially one as new as an EB.

It is, simply, asinine to do so given the availability of proper, true Custom tuning for this platform.

Do you doofi (that be Plural fer Dufus) even realize HOW LONG it took Edge to get the tuning right for the 09-10 N/A trucks ??? YEARS !!!! And it's STILL not 100% !!!! And yer going to rely on these same twits to get something like an EB - a 100X as complex - correct, in Yer lifetime ???? LMFAO !!!! They are ALL Laughing at you poor gullible Fools !!! As am I

WTF are Y'all thinking ???? IF yer going to pekker yer warranty - at Least do it Effectively

He may be hilarious, but he speaks the truth!

To the OP - return your tune to STOCK till you are ready to do the job RIGHT - and possibly void your powertrain warranty.

2012 F150 CS tuner with hearth robe exhaust and airaid intake

I bought my pickup with all of this on it and I don't think I am getting any performance from the tuner. The boost on stock is 10-12 and its the same on all of the other settings. Any ideas on what I can do?

Yes. Make sure it's returned to stock and get rid of the Edge. Then buy a SCT X4 from a tuning house that has experience with the Ecoboost and get CUSTOM tunes for your mods. Otherwise, get rid of that intake and put a stock intake back on.

Why though? On the edge website it says it's for the Eco boost?

Do you believe everything you read on a webpage?

I don't like saying this, but I believe the engineers at Edge are not really up to speed on new Ford trucks. There have been too many reports of problems with their products, and, you don't hear similar problems reported by people using the SCT or Diablo programmers.

If someone from Edge would like to refute this, I'm open to data that will support a different viewpoint.

No I don't believe everything I read on a webpage but you'd think if they are selling tuners they would post about which tuner works with which vehicles. They are still in business so it can't be that bad. I don't know much about tuners and that's why I'm on here trying to learn about them. I did put it to stock now and I'm going to see if I can sell it and I'll probably just not have one. Less to worry about that way.

Sorry, I realize I came across as a bit of a "chiding parent". I don't mean to, but it happens sometimes.

So you'll know, I had two different Edge programmers on my last truck, a 2005 King Ranch. Both were modified with custom tunes by Power Hungry Performance. The first one I used was a monochrome Edge Evolution, and it worked fine. But I wanted the extra bells and whistles of the CTS, so I got one of those and PHP wrote custom tunes for it too. However, Edge stopped allowing that programmer to be custom tuned, I think so they could guarantee it would be 50-State CARB compliant.

Both programmers improved the performance of my truck, but the newer CTS would not allow certain adjustments, such as changes to the WOT shift points. Edge Tech Support promised they were going to fix that, but as far as I know, they never did. As far as I know, the CTS never offered datalogging as an option either.

My impression from all this, and from the length of time it took for Edge to even offer a programmer for the 2009+ MY trucks, is that Ford vehicles are not their primary focus.

Again, I'm giving you a personal opinion - it may not be accurate, but I've formed it honestly.
