I recently bought an Edge EVO from a guy on this board. Today I hooked it up to the computer and updated it. I installed it in the truck as per the instructions and it started the updating screen. Now it has been stuck at 52% for about 45 minutes and the screen says not to turn off. What do I do? I couldn't find anything about this problem in the manual or their website. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this I would appreciate it.

 

Nevermind, I unplugged it from the OBD port for about 30 seconds and then plugged it back in and everything when fine.

 

Next time, don't unplug it. You could potentially screw stuff up.

 

What is the proper procedure when it gets stuck for hours?

 

N-1: Do NOT UNPLUG IT !!!

1. CALL EDGE.
2. Change yer underwear.
3. Post on here And/Or the PHP forum.
4. Pray.
5. Slap yerself.
6. Research this forum ( Advanced Search )
7. Kick yerself fer buying a canned programmer, when for the same price you could have had a reliable SCT X3 with custom tuning.

 

you couldn't pay me enough to use an Edge Evolution on a 97-03 f150....This is due to their CRAPPY CABLE DESIGN!!!!!

Call edge and see if you can get the Evolution upgraded to a CS programmer....it will be a lot less headaches...
