Check Engine Light
As Per:
I think I might have just called you a farmer GLC...
There is however a slim chance that you have been called worse.
Not a farmer, and I don't see it as a problem. It's not that critical. I've seen and done a lot worse in my time. I've wrapped the old style glass fuses with gum wrappers to get me home.
Yeah, I've been called a LOT worse.........nothing wrong with a farmer, without them we would starve.

Hahahahaha, y'all kill me!!! Lmao, I love it... Ahhh; I grew up in the sticks. the very first house I lived in was in a suburban area, but by the time was jus a lil tike, we moved out to the boon docks.. Been in the setting, in spite of moving around a few times, ever since. Haha...
I been called and done a lot worse too. My best one was fixin' a SEVERELY blown radiator hose with duct tape. Drove it roughly a hundred miles with not much prob.
Anywho; I agree, 5 more amps isnt that big of a deal. However, the stock fuse was a 20A, which means the wires could become over heated and cause a serious prob. For the short term, it would work fine. However, I figured the prob and now have a 20A in the fuse holder and everything is almost working the way it should.
I disconnected the center, front cig lighter and put the 20A fuse in. No sparks, no archs followed by re-flashing the ECU and rechecking the fuse again for signs of melting. Everything checked out and looks good. So im getting power to both, my cig lighter and OBD2 port; but my cig lighter is disconnected because it is bad, hence the short circuit sparks/archs..
By the way, I think this is a relatively common prob with our trucks; I have read on a lot of other websites/forums people having probs with this same circuit. Either the cig lighter socket is bad and popping the fuse, or the Check Engine light is on and they cant get power at the OBD2 port, but have power at the cig lighter. I have read about a lot of probs; but I havent read or heard anything of Ford issuing a recall or anything of that sort. Any of y'all heard or read anything along those lines?
Thanks for the help y'all.
