Tuner/CEL

this might have been posted somewhere on here or maybe just a dumb question, im wantin to get a tuner to get a little better mpg's. got a '10 scab with 6800 miles. i know if you throw a CEL light the dealer can find out no matter if you set it back to stock, now the question I have is if you clear out your CEL,set back to stock tune, then run the truck to throw the code again will it "freeze" what all is going on at that point in time or will the tune "freeze frame" still be in the computer?

This has been addressed a number of times. Yes, the dealer CAN find out if you've been using a programmer if they want to go to all the trouble to do so. It doesn't really appear likely that they would.

AND, according to law, they cannot refuse a warranty claim unless they can show the tune caused the problem. Now, you might have to go to court on this, but the law is on your side.

If your truck throws a code while it's tuned to stock, I would not worry about them checking further.
