Chip for reprogramming tire size etc.

Hey guys,

I know most of the "really nice" (and expensive) chips with all the bells and whistles will reprogram for changes in gears and tire sizes. I'm looking for an economical chip that will reprogram for gears and tires mainly. My truck is a 4.6L 5-speed so all the transmission stuff doesn't help me any. So an edge with a monitor wouldn't help me much because I don't have shift points, transmission temps or anything else like that to change and monitor.

The Superchips Flashpaq was what I was leaning towards now as economical, gear programmer, and decent engine capabilities.

What would you recommend for this situation?

The truck is 95% a "working" truck in a farm environment. 1-3% playing

Thanks

What year? It's a tuner, not a chip. Have you read the stickies at the top of this forum?

I think you CAN use a "chip" on that model year, but I'm not sure anything will help you do what you need. You MAY have to replace the VSS gear in your truck to compensate for non-OEM tires and gears. I can't recall at the moment when the PCM was given the ability to make this adjustment, but I think it was after your model year.

If I'm wrong, there'll be lots of folks on here to correct me.

Depends on build date. We offer tuning for tires up to 40" for mid to late year 99's.
