SCT X3 for Christmas

Picked up an SCT X3 as a Christmas gift, with custom tunes by Justin at VMP! All I can say is.... HOLY GEEZUS!

Engine - Stronger!
Transmission - Smoother and more solid!
Off the Line - Holy Moly!

This is my first time with a custom programmed ECU/TCU. Needless to say I am quite happy with the result! Its a whole new truck now!

AWESOME!! I just ordered a gryphon cs this morning with 3 custom tunes. I'm hoping to have the same WOW factor as you.

I had him load it with 89 perf, 89 economy, and 89 towing. I only use the 89 octane fuel. I loaded the 89 perf tune. I will probably never use the towing tune, but it never hurts to have it.

I wanna thank all the folks that contribute to this section. It helped me make my decision on which programmer to buy. So much good information to sift through on here!

Terp, I am sure you will not be disappointed!

Glad you are happy with you programmer. I wish I would of ordered one from Justin instead of ordering the Edge. Im happy with the Edge but the trans still lugs around town. With the edge the shifts are slightly firmer but thats the only difference, they still dont have the ability to tune the trans. Glad you are happy.

Have you ever considered sending your edge into PHP to have it converted into a gryphon and then having custom tunes written??

I absolutely will once Edge figures out how to tune the trans. If I were to get PHP tunes there still would not be any trans control. The only thing that can be done for the trans currently is shift firmness. Im waiting until he can write a custom trans tune and engine tune.

used2vtec, I owned a house in Chesapeake Beach many years ago. Was on Deforest Drive, just up the hill from the Rod-N-Reel.

Were happy here. My fiance and I are stationed at Andrews and really like the area. We live off of 260 in Richfield Station about 5 minutes from the Rod-N-Reel, they have some really good crab cakes!!
