warranty void?

warranty void?

i have never owned or used a programmer before. i just got my sct-x3 from mpt delivered..i opened the package and noticed a 'warranty void' sticker on it...why?

I'm not sure this is correct. It sounds more like the warranty on the SCT-X3 itself has been voided. Was this possibly a "used" device or a "reconditioned" one? If the device is loaded with custom tunes from a tuner, the tuner himself should have picked up the warranty (at least Bill does at PHP) - I have to assume other reputable tuners do this as well.

If the device is new, it should have at least a year warranty, in my opinion.

The sticker is on the seam of the case of the handheld, meaning that if the seal is broken by taking it apart, it will void the warranty of the SCT itself, not your truck.
