Custom options problem?

Make sure you press done/save before exiting out.

It really doesn't change, but when you open the Custom Options menu, you get a "Placeholder value" for TS and GR. The TS is usually not right, but the GR may be. If you want to see the value you entered before, ALWAYS scroll immediately to "Load Previous Settings" BEFORE you go anywhere else after opening that menu. (Note, the value will probably still be slightly different due to internal calculation rounding).

As 88racing said though, set your TS to 2660 and make sure your GR is correct, then scroll to "done" and when your PCM programs, forget it.

Then you are not setting it correctly.

When you go to the Gear window, what does it default to and what gears do you have in your truck?

As Bluejay said, you're not setting something correctly. GR is Gear Ratio and TS is Tire Size. If your speedo indicates 80 and you're only doing 55, you're likely setting your TS way too high, or, your GR is wrong. Your 2660mm TS is correct for 33" tires, without factoring in "squish". What tires do you have?

And, Bluejay's question about GR needs to be answered too.

All I was trying to do was just change my tire size to get the correct speed so I set it at towing then i went in to custom it and put my tires size in so my speedo would be correct then I tired to save and get out. my tires size is 325/05/18 the catalog says to use 2660 so I dont think that is incorrect

It's not incorrect other than it does not allow for squish, but that is only about 3%, so not the big problem. You did not answer my question on gears. What is the default in the Edge and what gears do you have?

The default is what shows up on the Edge screen before you change the settting. When you go to the gear screen, it will come up with a number that the Edge thinks you have. Probably 3.55 or 3.73. If it is different from what you actually have, then you must change it. You can see what your truck had origianally by checking the tag on the driver'd door, under axle. There will be a 2 digit number like 19 or B9. See what that says. Of course, it is possible that your gears have been swapped if you don't know thw history of the truck.

Ok, a B6 is a 3.73 LS. If the gears have never been changed, that is what needs to be entered in the gear setting if it is not defaulting to that.
