A really dumb programmer question

I just got my first programmer (gryphon CS) last week. So far I'm impressed with the canned tunes. Before you start tearing into me for asking this stupid question, let me tell you I read the manual and many posts but cannot find the answer I'm looking for.

While I'm driving the unit monitors certain systems.

What is ECT?
Is this Engine temp? Exhaust Temp? I have no clue.

My truck has been running between 192-196 during typical driving.

Thanks

I monitor that, too, along with tranny temp.

However, the ECT is not actually measured. It is "inferred" from the Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) which IS measured. For that reason, I monitor the CHT instead of the ECT. (An ECT probe will lie to you if you have a coolant loss, which is why they've switched to monitoring CHT).
