i am looking into buying a new programmer. any suggestions? i had the edge evo and was not happy with it so i took it out and sold it. i was thinking banks or bullydog, but don't know much about their gas products. any help or suggestions will be appreciated.
i didn't like having to reprogram back to stock everytime i wanted to change power levels. i drove it on level 2 most of the time and didn't have too many problems with it. then all of a sudden my fuel mileage dropped to around 12mpg and that was on the highway. i reprogrammed everything back to stock and took it out. also, i could never get the speedometer set quite to where it should be, i'm running 33" cooper discover st's and tried using the formula that came with the edge to set my tire size, but never had any luck.

You don't have to go back to stock between changes, just safer that way in case your battery is weak. I never changed between tunes much anyway and since I got custom tunes, don't change at all.

You could get a custom tuned gryphon but it uses the same style programmer as Edge. I think the SCT has also been kinda popular but I dont know that much about them.
If you want to get your tire size nailed use this little formula I posted on the PHP forum. It works best with a GPS but if you dont have one go to google maps and pick two intersections that are at least 10 miles apart and "get directions". That will get you a decently accurate mileage count. Dont forget to write down the tire size you are starting with and clear the odometers.
GPS odometer divided by truck odometer. That value multiplied by the tire size you used. There is no need to adjust for squish or anything. The number it spits out is the number you use.
