ok ive had my edge for about 6000 miles. i love it, except for one thing. at highway speed if you pull out to pass and give it gas, about 3/4 throttle, it will go from 4locked to 2nd gear. it slams hard and i was wondering if there was a way to fix this?
im sure this isnt right or good on things. it didnt do it before the tuner.
im running level 2 tow, and the gears and tires are the only things changed.
thanks

what size gears and what size tires???
And, when you say "highway speed", what do you mean? 60? 70? 75?
What you're experiencing is a WOT shift, and, I suspect you are actually opening the throttle to 90% or more. Once you are at "WOT", the transmission gearing is dependent on engine RPM. You could lower your 3-2 downshift value I think, to keep it in 3rd to a lower RPM. You'd also want to lower the 2-3 upshift value too.
The thing is, the canned tunes and most custom tunes are going to keep you in a particular gear at WOT until the engine reaches around 5000 RPM, since power and torque are generally increasing below that point. So, I suspect at your "highway speed", the speed/RPM value for 3rd gear is still below the upshift/downshift point and it drops you into 2nd. I know this happens to me, and I just let it happen since I usually want to get around someone fast on a 2-lane road.

it has 3.55 gears and 275/65R18 tires. and at highway speeds i ment 60. and at that speeds its only at 1600-1700rpms. im just worried about it tearin up the trans!! dont want to have to replace that yet.
