Edge evolution chip

i ahve a 2006 f150 fx4 and was wondering how good the edge programer was. I was also wondering wat are some good ways that i can make a custom program. like adjusting the shift points and that stuff. tell me the best ways to get up and go. i am pretty new to this whole chip/programmer and need help with it thanks

You want custom tunes written just for your truck, that is what makes the Gryphon better than the Edge.

I also have a 2006 5.4 FX4 and just bought the Edge evo. I love it and instantly notice the difference but I can't say I've tried the Gryphon. Looks like basically the same exact thing though on the website.

Yes, same hardware. PHP buys it from Edge. Bill at PHP wrote the canned tunes in the Edge. The big difference is that the Edge is not allowed to be custom tuned and the Gryphon is. Custom tunes are noticibly better and worth the money.

And, to add to Bluejay's post, PHP can convert your Edge to a Gryphon and load custom tunes into it. The details are on their website.
