Just so you know.. when you make posts like this or others about your truck. Let us know some information about your truck... If you go into your profile you can fill out information about your truck so that it can be seen at all times..

like when you look in the top right of this box.. you can see mine.

But yeah, read through the stickies get a good base of info then if you have questions ask away..

Another $.99 Resistor from ebay... sounds like a hell of a product, might as well throw in a throttle body spacer as well as a tornado!!! that's like 50mpg's and 900hp

Just kidding.. Few great products out there with some companies tunning them makes for a night/day difference

once he reads the stickies, he'll come back and ask gryphon or sct livewire OR sct Xcal3 vs diablo questions

he needs to decide which tuning device of the 4 mentioned above fit his needs and wants and as long as it's custom tuned he won't be able to go wrong

As far as programmers and engine work, not at all.

Apf150,

if your looking at JUST upgrading to a chip/programmer edge is a very well backed system.

If you plan on down the road doing mods like say....CAI, performance exhaust, ect. It would be in your best interest to invest in a programmer that can be custom tuned if the mods that you have done. programmers example would be Gryphon from power hungry performance.

Another thought is that you always have the chance of a programmer having ill effects on your truck. But for the most part you'll be fine, unless you already have a component "drivetrain wise" that is already on the brink of failing.

I can tell you this...if you get a programmer..no matter which one (besides the hoke crap on ebay for 20 gullible dollars) you will be able to notice a difference..in more then 1 way.

If you go through the posts under this subject you will be able to find pretty much any info that you need on the subject. If you can think most likely somebody on thi8s forum has already asked the question. So just do a quick search from the search tab upper toolbar and let the good times roll!!!!!

You still are not telling enough. Do you have a 4.6 or a 5.4. Do you have a CAI or do you plan on getting one. People have to know these things before knowing how to answer.

There are several tuners that are dependable, but they have different pluses and minuses.

no reason to get a cai, just do the gotts intake mod and get yourself a custom tuned tuner (one of the ones I mentioned in my post above)
