Exclamation Roush Authorised Modification

I just bought a used 2006 F150 5.4l and opened the hood to find a sticker that is from Roush. It says ..."PCM reprogramed" and " Tire Res 655". I noticed it has Roush 20" rims, a roush grille, and a custom dual exaust. The PCM mod has a number next to it "6L3A-12A650"...Can anyone tell me what mods were done to the PCM or if there is any way to find out?? Any thoughts would be helpfull.

My guess is that it was recalibrated for the taller tires.

I would contact Roush directly with that very same question. Post back and let us know how you make out.

More than likely "Tire Res 655" is saying the PCM is upgraded for a tire resize, and the code is 655. The number next to the PCM is probably a serial number of some sort. Let us know what you find out.

I think you'll find the 6L3A number is the Ford Part Number for the PCM used (or whatever part that number is stuck to) - not a serial number or a clue to any mods. That's a common format for Ford PNs - for example, the PN for an new antenna mount I used recently was 6L3T-18A984 --- so I'd bet you're looking at a Ford Part number and nothing more. I'd call a local dealer service dept and ask them to look it up.

6L3A-12A650 is the part number for a 2006 Ford F-150 ECU.
