Hello, just finished installing edge evolution for 5.4l in my truck, just a few questions as this is my first programmer. Have only used it on trans. setting what kind of improvement should i see. When i floor it takes of and shifts into second around 5000 rpm. and from 2 to 3 around 70 mph. is that about normal. also when i programmed it i heard some clicking underneath the truck and the engine light flashed a few times is this normal also.(or am i just paranoid??) so far everything seems ok i just want to be sure. I'm sure these questions have all been asked before and i appreciate anyone taking the time to answer them for me. thank-you

From: In the fast lane from LA to Tokyo...
Clicking sounds and some lights flashing on the dash are normal.
The clicking was probably the fuel pump and or relays turning on and off real fast.
Youare going to have to be more descriptive about the shifting behavior.

Just got back from trip into town, everything seems normal, upshifts and down shifts seem fine, I guess im still used to the soft stock shifts. Still dont have the guts to try performance mode, tomorrow were putting on the k&n cold air intake. i thank 88racing for your info.

The Edge is for stock trucks only. If you install the intake, you REALLY need to seriously consider getting your Edge upgraded to a Gryphon and getting custom tunes...

Another option (much less expensive too) is the DWV mod: https://www.f150online.com/forums/ex...4l-engine.html

There are experts that feel even this mod requires a custom tune.

As Sir MGD (also PhD, DDS, and DVM) would say - the search tool is your greatest ally and proper use can lead to exciting discoveries...
