if im going with custom tunes on an 08 f150, do i need have a ford specific tuner, or can i get a gm sct tuner and will it work? can get it for about $100 so definitely not a deal i want to pass up if it will work. i know for my f250 it does not matter long as im going with custom tunes, so is it the same for the f150? tried calling VMP hard to get ahold of them by phone lately.

also, would yal like me to go ahead and get a troyer tune as well in an 87 performance and compare php, troyer, and vmp?

just talked to a tuner for the f150, said ford specific for sure.

and thats why i asked if anyone was interested as far as i know no one has done a comparison of all 3, but i dont get on this section ever.

picked up one xcal for $135 shipped, now onto getting a second one.
