It just means that the PCM was recently reflashed.

its normal, anytime you clear DTCs or put in a new program you will get that code. It will go away eventually after allthe OBD monitors have run.

It should go away with driving it in approx 50-60 miles and varying your speed.

Not in all cases, Its been over a year since I last cleared any codes or reflashed it and I still have the P1000. Just ignore it you'll be fine.

It should go away though, the problem with it being there is if you are required to have your vehicle inspected, they will not pass you because of that code.

And, I'm puzzled that the P1000 code is being set with a custom tune? He really does NOT want the PCM to relearn the stock fueling strategies, so normally, I think, the tune should prevent the code from being set. Did you by chance disconnect your battery at any point in all of this? If so, that is what set the code.

If this is the case, my advice would be to return the truck to stock, drive it around for 50-75 miles to clear the code, then try reprogramming it.

The battery must have been disconnected so the new tune could start a fresh adaptive learning cycle.

Anytime you re-program the PCM it will set P1000 which is why his tuner set the DTC. Clearing DTCs or a battery disconnect will cause it aswell.
