No, toryer doesn't custom tune edge's. And what questions did/do you have? im sure enough of us have dealt with PHP and had some of the same, if not the same questions and would be happy to answer them for you. I know PHP is hard to get a hold of, it was the same way when i got my edge done up, but you bear with them and the benefits out-weight the down time of sending out the programmer.

i just didnt want to send the programer off without knowing how long it would take, or if it would take to long would it be better to wait till after the holidays to send it in when MAYBE they wouldn't be so busy, i also wanted to ask them about the custom tunes that would be going on it you see i have an airraid CAI, a gibson exhaust and its been regeard, but in the future i plan to do headers and a pully kit, and i wanted to get the most out of my motor for running 93 octain and i also kinda wanted a gas saver tune, but i was gonna see if i should wait to send my edge off until i get the other mods done

Leave your name and number and they will call you back.

You MAY not even be able to leave your name and number. They don't use an answering machine due to the shear volume of calls. They have four phone lines I believe. Usually They are talking to someone all day on two of them. The other two lines put people on "hold". If you're the fifth caller, I don't think you can even get through.

You might try FAXing your questions with an email address to reply to. Or it's possible they'd try to call you if you included your phone number on the FAX. But, I would not expect them to try calling you more than once. They are simply too busy.

I guess the system they have works, but I have often thought the same thing. I am not one to question how someone runs their business but the work load to time ratio does seem to be off balance. I guess the hardest part would be finding the right people to do the job, after all a greater saying welcome to PHP does them no good.

I waited until everything i wanted to do was done before sending it off..i my mind it only seems sensible. why re-tune twice when you can get it all done once? When i tuned, i got a 87 tow, 87 perf. & 91 perf. ( only available higher octane gas around here ). As far as a mileage tune... i think* when i spoke with bill when i was arranging my tuning he said the perf. tune & tow tune is all they do, no mileage tune is available from the power loss it would have to have to get the mileage? ( please correct me if im wrong ) But the perf. tune is just as good for a gas saver tune, as long as you keep your foot outta it. thats my two cents anyways....

THAT, is their problem! Bill is THE tuning expert there. He tunes both gassers and diesels, and his experience goes back more than 20 years. He also works as a consultant for other companies. He's told me it would take him at least a year to train someone to the proper level to help him and he hasn't got the time. Then, once that someone is trained, they want to work for themselves, so he has to start all over again.

When people call, they want to talk to Bill or Corey, because she can answer most of the ordering questions or, she knows what questions to ask of the customer so that Bill can provide the answers later. Again, it's a training problem.

Maybe, when their boys get older....

That, and I'm going to take a wild stab and say it would be extremely difficult to pay someone full-time (with a decent salary) with the way the economy is. Even with the high volume of orders they have, paying someone tens of thousands a year is quite a bank breaker for a family business.

I just got my Edge upgraded and it's sooo much better. I do wish I would have known about the Gryphon originally, though, since they keep the unit while they install the tunes. It sucked driving stock for a month.
