SCT for diagnostics

Anyone? Can I use my SCT3 on a buddies truck to pull the trouble code for his check engine light without returning my truck to stock???????

Mine 2008
His 2004

Other than that they are the same truck.

Great, that is what I needed to know. I think one of his COP's went bad but need to pull the code to verify.

Yes you can use it to read and clear his codes without changing your present tune. But nothing else..

Yeah you should be good, I've only used it to read/clear codes on a friends F150 but it was a 4.2 like mine.
