performance chip

Thinking of getting a chip for my 5.4 f150. Anyone have any suggestions on which one provides the most horsepower?

Sorry mobile version doesn't let me see what year truck you have.
97-03 multi position chip or a tuner.
04-08 tuner only.
Haven't heard anything good about a single stand alone chip for any vehicle

When you say chip are you set on a chip or are you also willing to use a programmer as well?

I would go with a custom tuned programmer, the Gryphon, because of the gauges it provides. If the gauges are not important to you, then the Xcal3 is just as good. The custome tunes in either one will provide close to the same power and performance.

also the SCT Livewire also provides guages...

I would compare the livewire and the gryphon / edge to each other

and the SCT Xcal3 and the Diablo predator to each other

A Chip can have the same custom tunes as any other device. The only difference is you cannot change any individual setting. You can even have chips with multiple tunes that you can switch "on the fly". 04 and up do not have a chip socket though.

Thanx for clearing that up!
That's why I posted the years and what was available.

Check out the SCT Xcal3 from a tuner like VMP Tuning. This is what I have and would completely recommend it. I love it!
