So My friend has an SCT programmer compatible for my 4.6L that he used on his 05 mustang GT cali special he sold the car so we hook it up to my truck and program it and after when i start my truck it dies start it again and the idle is Fd up its goin from 500 to 700rpm and hessitant off the line so i deprogram it and reset computer by diconnecting the battery. It still has funny idle and throws a check engine light for Idle control Rpms to low somethin like that.. So i oull the K&n intake off pull the throttle body off clean everyhting real good even electrical connections and mass air sensor put it together and reset ecu and now its fine. any one have any ideas?? i realy wanna hook up that programmer but scared its gonna do the same thing. Consider yourself lucky that you were able to restore your stock program and get past any other issues, and don't try it again.
The device is vin locked to the Mustang and can only be used on another vehicle if it is unlocked by SCT and custom tuned for your vehicle.

 

its the SCT SF3 Flash Handheld Tuner 3015 OBDII Mustang F-150 its plug and play so before he sold the mustang he detuned it which sets his mustang back to stock and is suppose to let you tune another ford. i guess it can only tune one vehicle at a time which would make sense cause then you would buy one and tune all ur buddys cars.
