No, not at all. Just do not put a CAI on it with the Edge. If you think you may want a CAI, get the Gryphon with its custom tunes.

I already have a K&N Series 77 intake on. Is that not good for a Edge Evo.?

The Edge tunes are written for a stock intake. There is some risk of running lean, especially on a 2004-2005 truck, not so much on the later. However, without a custom tune, you will not be fully utilizing the CAI potential. I ran the Edge canned tunes for 31,000 and thought I was happy. I have now run the Gryphon custom tunes for about 23,000 and there is a lot of difference. Knowing what I do now, I would buy the Gryphon.

I don't know. You get the Gryphon at www.powerhungryperformance.com and you can get the Edge at several different places.

They are the same hardware and come with the same canned tunes. The Edge is just "locked" and not custom tunable. Bill at PHP writes the custom tunes to fit your truck. He wrote the canned tunes for both the Edge and the Gryphon and actually buys his hardware from Edge and repackages it as a Gryphon.
