just got my troyer custom tunes they feel great seems like i get alot more power. Heres my Question i got the87 tow 87 performance 93 preformance, i got the 87 tow becuase i tow my boat alot, troyer told me the tow is not a daily driver so do i have to switch my towing one every time i take off the trailer? for example i usually fishing every wednesday and friday so i really have to switch the towing off after im done wednesday and turn it back on friday morning?

it wont hurt to leave it in tow at all, it just wont be to your benefit for mileage or shift points

 

how much quicker do you guess your truck would be from the tune? and what did it cost you when all was said and done?

 

the tune is alot quicker its a real kick in the pants i like it alot i got the tuner used and got the custom tune done tuner was 125 and the custome tune was 200 great like it alot

So runnin the tow mode wont hurt the truck Correct

 

yeah you have nothin to worry about, it makes no difference if you have a boat behind you or not, it doesn't hurt the truck when the boat is on and it definetly doesnt hurt it when its not............. your good to go

 

Your high octane tune will make more power. Fill up on a tank of 93, then drive that 93 Performance Tune. You'll be calling Troyer back and asking for a 93 Tow Tune.

 

yeah thats true, your goona regret not getting your tow done on 93 octane, cause that would tow like a bit&&

 

really damn i was so on the fence with getting the 93 towing but i cheaped out cuz fuel is expensive and im in college and dont have a full time job
well its only a 23 center console i had no problems before i was just for a little more power ya no
one more question will the tune really show a mpg gain if i drive like i normally do like troyer said it will?

 

You should not tow on your performance tune, but you can drive normal driving with the towing tune.

If troyer said don't drive on it then don't drive on it period, if you do and something goes wrong I don't wanna see a thread bashing his tunes cause he told ya so

when I got my tunes he didn't say anything about not driving on the tow tune call Troyer back and make sure before you drive on the tow tune (maybe he's got a setting in there due to the size of your boat or truck mods ect)
