how to pick a chip

would love to get a chip or even tune my truck and i find all this stuff on eBay and is it true chips are only about $30 if so what type would you all run? and latter this summer i am buying a programer will a chip go hand and hand with it? and thanks for the feed back !!!

any "chip" thats only $30 will make a good paperweight...thats about it. Do it right and just get either an SCT tuner tuned by either Troyer or VMP or a Gryphon tuned by PHP.

Do not buy one of hem cheap ebay chips that guarantee 30mpg and 100 horsepower, they're just cheap faulty pieces that rob your wallet at time of purchase, and much further down the road when your PCM fries and needs replaced.

ya though it was to good to be true and you know what they say if it sounds to good than it prob is not true!

Precisely. Your PCM you dont wanna f with the wrong way. Custom tuning is the best proceedure to getting more power out of the truck electrically.

you get what you pay for. your $$$ your truck. I would suggest either toyer, VMP or PHP.
