As of March 5, we are now able to able to offer SCT products (in addition to our current products) to our customers! We have not yet updated the website, but that will be amended as soon as we're back in the office later this week.

Are ya'll just dealing, or will you be making custom tunes for the xcals as well now?

 

As of now, we only plan on doing custom tuned X3s; however, if the market warrants it, we'll be happy to sell X3s with canned tunes, too!

hmm.. well that's definately something worth considering, how much would it cost for a single tune for an existing X3 owner? I currently have tuning from Justin at VMP, but I'd love to see what you guys can do for my truck in comparison.

 

And as soon as we get back, we're announcing a new performance package for the 7.3L diesel, which Bill has to finish the software for! ACK! I'm dizzy... Thanks, Jack!

gotcha.. that seems pretty fair.. but how much experience do you guys have with SCT? Are the setting adjustments pretty similar to the Gryphon(edge)? What sort of features can you adjust with the X3 can you adjust that you can't with the Gryphon or vice versa?

 

So, would you rather have a custom tuned X3 or Gryphon on your truck? Gauges not being a reason..

Would the tunes be the same pretty much? You would just be using a different device to load a new program on to the PCM?

 

Yes, exactly. It really depends if you want the dash mounted pod with gauges or not.

 

We can do the same tuning with either platform. Just depends on whether or not you want the dash-mount or not.

 

Ok, so x3 tunes. I have an x2 that I need tuned, is that something ya'll could do for me? It'd be a typical tune setup, I don't have any crazy mods. (typical intake, exhaust, adjust for tire size, etc..) I plan on doing more engine mods in the future so have held off on getting tunes made. All I really plan on doing from here is headers and pulleys, are new tunes necessary for either of these mods? Thanks again!

Edit: I don't have an intake installed yet due to the lean issue. I'm waiting to get tunes before installing an intake. After reading some posts here lately, I'm debating whether it's even worth buying an intake if I can just modify the stock intake and use a better filter. Thoughts?

 

Thats pretty good. You guys sure are busy, took me two days to get a answer on the phone But You guys got back to me and took my order and shipped my Gryphon out, now i'm anxiously waiting!

 

We have one phone with call waiting -- so two lines. We also each have a cell phone. There are actually times when all four lines are being used -- each of us talking to a customer and two on hold! It's been insane, but we're not complaining! Thanks for hanging in there until we could help you.
