I have an edge evolution, in a 2001 screw, and without it i get about 15.4 on level 2 and 16.1 on level 3.

I get better gas mileage at higher speeds in level 3. but Level 3 requires 91 octane. So i don't know if is saves me too much money.
It would if you were driving for more than 50 miles all highway.

The numbers people are quoting don't really mean much, since they're dependent on engine/vehicle weight/gearing/tire size combinations, not to mention driving habits.

What you want to know is, was there an increase, decrease or did the mpg stay the same in a before/after scenario with a programmer. For me, there was. I gained somewhere between 1-2 mpg when I got canned tunes and another 0.7 mpg highway while towing using a custom tow tune.

Cortex 1950

I drive 30,000 miles a year(highway) and am only trying to get better gas mileage.
I just bought the 1950 cortex programmer for My 2001 F-150 supercrew 4X4 5.4L gas, K&N intake and Magnaflow exhaust. I have Nitto Terra Grappler 265 70R17 tires(stock size) With the the mileage AV program it looked like it gave me better mileage until I noticed that the odometer was now off by +10%. With the 87 octane setting it give me less MPG (about 1-2). I have tried both settings, each with 3 tanks of both high octane and regular fuel. Does anyone know if I am doing something wrong?

Of the 3 people I know with tunes that dont drive like a jackass.

One with 4x4 XLT stock tires gets 16mpg city/hwy
One with 4x4 FX4 on 35s not geared gets about 14-15 city/hwy
and the other with a 4x4 lariat stock tires gets about 15 mpg city/hwy but doesnt have the exhaust and intake that the first XLT does.

I'm also looking to find ONLY info about gas mileage. I, like the person who posted, drive about 30k/yr. I have a new xlt 5.4, tonneau cover, 275/65 R-18 Michelin LTX AS and nothing else as of yet. looking for a tuner SPECIFICALLY for better mileage. I use regular fuel also and tow a 19.5 boat quite often. hope these specs help.

Mine seens to be reading pretty accuratley to what i'm calculating. I average 15 - 16mpg, and my Gryphon tells me I average usually 14.5 - 16.4 depending on how long I let it idle, and how long I climb a big hill.

2008 FX4, stock tires, bed cover, Roush CAI, Roush OR Exhaust, VMP Tuner
12.8 combined on stock tune
13.4 combined on VMP 87 Perf

No hwy trips yet without out a boat attached. I get around 12 towing, but my tow tune is getting revised due to some issues.
I only have 9000 miles on this truck, I dont know if it will get better as the miles increase or not.

05 XLT Screw 5.4 3.55 with 265/70/17 tires, True Duals with H-Pipe and S&B CAI

11 without the tune
11 with the Livewire and VMP 87 Perf tune

My foot is the deciding factor on whether or not I get good gas mileage.
