Laptop programming

Laptop programming

Is somebody using their laptop with some connectors and software to check codes, program or tune up their trucks ??

Its funny you mention that, we had an 07 VW Jetta, and for VW's their is software you can buy and do just that, its called VAGCOM and it works great. Wish they made something like that for Fords.

I use my laptop to tune. There are several options out there.

SCT, HPTUNERS, PHP all have options for FORD tuning.

Tweecer, my favorite. its like running a standalone management with stock sensors and pcm. plus check erase dtc's and eliminate things like ur rear o2 sensors and egr. you can buy it for under $400 and for $200 more you can buy the data logging software too. though u do need a laptop computer.
