Livewire Questions

Did a quick search, and didn't see my answers. Please bear with me if it has been covered already.

Is there any sort of custom mounts available for the SCT Livewire #9600?
I want something sorta like the Edge Evolution has.

I need a tuner for my truck, and the Livewire seems to fit the bill. Only problem is, I hate that stupid suction cup mount. Just makes it seem easy to steal, and IMO sorta tacky on what was a $40,000+ truck.

If nothing exists, what are the dimensions on the new cased Livewire...the one without the weird bump? I'm thinking I can install it where my ashtray is if it isn't too large.

Damn Tylus, I'm suprised you don't already have a tuner for your truck. Sorry, I know nothing about the live wire except that I wouldn't mind having one if they had some kinda pillar or dash mount for them.

3-3/8 tall 6-15/16wide 1-3/8 thick keep in mind the sides are curved so this is max width.I like mine but its more tuner than i needed but for what i paid i couldnt resist. You will find it more usfull than me because you can monitor boost.

thanks. I don't have a tuner because the Supercharger itself and christmas wiped me out $$ wise

now I'm gonna fix this.

I've already got a boost gauge, but I do need a wideband. So it would be nice to use that built in feature

thanks guys

It isn't built in. You still need a LC-1 t make it work (+$200)

You will need to buy a wide band and i wish it had trans temp for the 150 but it doesnt come loaded with it.Although i think it can be added ill have to talk to mike about that.It does monitor long and short term fuel but i dont know what the numbers mean so thats usless to me untill i get educated on this.

wait, I thought the Livewire could show gauges like the Edge/Gryphon does?

that is the whole point of buying one. I'm not exactly happy with my current setup of A/F, Trans Temp, Boost gauges.

if I can't get the trans temp to show on the Livewire, I'm just going to avoid it

I know that, but a stand alone wideband is about $350 for the one I want

so I can spend $350 for a guage/wideband sensor, plus the $450ish for a X-Cal3

or

I can spend $600 for the Livewire and $200 for the LC-1...and the dash will look cleaner IMO

about the same overall

I does monitor 6 things real time but trans temp is not one of the preloaded options for the 150.I 'm not sure if it can be added or not.Give mike a email mike@5startuning.com he will get back to you within 15 min and has all the answers.

I have the limewire and should have gotten the Xcal instead. I got it for the gauges, but it just does not sit well on the window mount. I like the tunes that I got from VMP and am sure the one I ordered from Troyer will be good as well.

No worries, Troyer is a good choice, you wont find a better reputation for tuning these trucks. Patience will be key, it is usually 4-10 weeks from the point that they get your strategy code. Varying on his workload of course.
You will enjoy

Just added trans temp and several other things to my display options.Tylus this thing can monitor anything this tool is way more advanced than i thought. This is really for the die hard racer we will never even use 5% of what this tool will do.If you know your stradagy code im sure you do you can download livelink and play with it to see what its capable of .

back to my original question though...is there any mount available other than the suction cup?

I e-mailed SCT and got a dithering wonder who couldn't even get me the specs for his product...said he thought there was a column mount available, but couldn't give me a link
