You're right of course. Tell that to Ford Motor Co., Cadillac, GM Goodwrench, Holiday Inn, Walgreens, Dodge, Oldsmobile, Pepsi, United Van Lines, Mayflower, the NFL, Schlitz, Verizon, Pontiac - to name a few who run orhave run balloon advertising/promotion programs.

We are talking about two different, but related, threads, Phil. It's been a LONG time since I've jumped all over you.

No offense taken! However, the purposes behind companies' vinyl decals are 1 - bragging rights for the customer and 2 - advertising for the company. It should be visible to other drivers. We have samples from all sorts of companies -- SCT, Banks, Edge, etc.; ours is proportional to theirs. Our vinyl decal is the PHP logo, which is what identifies our business. Personal opinion as to whether it appeals to you or not is a different story. I seriously doubt that 100% of the people who see our logo are enamored by it, just as I see logos sometimes and think UGH! It's okay to not like it.

Get one of those Billboards on I-85, people will see that fairly easily.
Don't be surprised if you see a PHP advertisement on a billboard on I-85 in 2009...

Thanks for the other suggestions!

Of course I'll say knives. I can even help ya set up the project and get you a good american made product to sport your logo for much cheaper than you might think. I do many projects along these lines every year for promotional items.

Yea, he was - check out his sig a couple of posts back. Those things make pretty big billboards up there in the sky. Our neighbor's dog barks her fool brains out though every time she sees one.

How about a new logo? Something more "Motorsports" looking? I am a graphic designer and I have seen a lot of talented stuff on this site from other members. Maybe hold a contest? That would be a great way to launch a new look with some nice quality t-shirts, hats & gear us truck guys and gals would wear around and promote your stuff?

We appreciate the suggestion, but from one graphic designer (degreed) to another, we like what we have! We actually went with the name due to the fact that I could already picture what I wanted the logo to be. There are things that I'd tweak if I had the right software, but we're really quite happy with our logo.

Actually, we've always gotten positive feedback from the diesel guys -- have even been approached by many that weren't our customers but wanted our decal for their trucks -- so this is a first. Not disconcerting or anything. Just funny that there is such a difference between the diesel forums and the gasser forums.

Very much appreciated, though! Always good to hear what people are thinking.

Hmmm.. we have koozies, but not ones that zip up. I'll have to look into the high-tech ones.
